Welcome to Providence Church
A personal Welcome from the Providence Church Leadership Team.
Welcome to the Providence Church website. We are happy that you have chosen to spend a few moments to look around and discover a little more about our Church family. It is our prayer that you will be blessed through your time exploring our website and eventually be led to visit with us.
While you are browsing our Providence Church website, you will learn about who we are, what the culture of Providence is, discover our passion for God, people and the communities we are a part of.
Our family is diverse and comprised of disciples of Jesus from all backgrounds and at various places of their spiritual journey. We strive for authenticity in our relationships and strive to become the kind of church described in the Bible.
To fully understand Providence, come to a worship service or to a small group and experience Providence personally and walk away inspired and moved by the Holy Spirit through worship and fellowship. I also believe that upon your visit, you will find a warm and loving ministry with down to earth and practical messages.
Enjoy the website, then come. We would love to meet you and get to know you.

Providence Church is a non-denominational Christian church located within the Washington D.C. and Baltimore metropolitan areas. Every member is expected to be a disciple of Jesus Christ as defined by the Word of God. Our members are encouraged to build a personal relationship with God through prayer and Bible study.
Why did God place Providence on our hearts? Why this as the name of our new fellowship? The Word Providence comes from the word ‘Pro’ which means ‘before’ and the word ‘video’ which means ‘to see’. This is to see something in advance. Providence means the foreseeing care and guidance of God for His people’s good and for His own glory. In essence, Providence means the protective care of God. So why Providence? Because we believe God the Father cares for and protects His children.
