Welcome to Providence Church. We are settled in between two incredible metropolitan areas- Washington D.C. and Baltimore, MD. This region is home to incredible universities, sports franchises, companies and some of the best seafood in the world including our infamous Crab Cakes. Located in Central Maryland, we draw our membership not only from Ellicott City and Howard County, but also from numerous communities and the surrounding counties including Baltimore, Montgomery and Carroll.
When you visit us you will find people from the fascinating blend of cultures, backgrounds, ages, and races in our dynamic community. Single and married, Black, White, Hispanic and Asian, young and old–our membership reflects the glorious variety of people who call this area their home.
We believe in God and his Word; we believe in Jesus and in the continued work of his Spirit in today’s world. Our worship is both energetic and heartfelt and our fellowship is both intimate and growing. We are deeply committed to Christ, and that dedication results in joy, closeness, and growth.

We are committed to building a church that is led by the Holy Spirit and helps each member to live out their devotion to God. We strongly believe in the need for deep relationships in the church, as well as an outward focus in the community to help our families, friends and neighbors come to faith in Jesus Christ. Our members are encouraged to build a personal relationship with God through daily bible study and prayer, and to live out their faith in all that they do.
